『１/４の奇跡』とは…
石川県で養護学校の先生をしている、かっこちゃんこと山元加津子さんが、養護学校のこどもたちとの、純粋なふれあいを通じて、私達１人１人の存在の意味、すべての人に生まれてきた理由がある事に気付いて行くドキュメンタリー作品。

命の終期を直前にした障害を持つ親友の雪絵ちゃんとの約束…。その約束とは？その約束にかっこちゃんはどのように接していくのか…。

人はなぜ完全ではないのか？
宇宙はなぜ完全ではないのか？

私達人間を支えている、見えないけれど大きな力、生かされている“いのち”、その尊さを知る…いのちの神秘を描く真実の物語。

今回の上映会では、『1/4の奇跡〜本当のことだから〜』の監督、入江富美子さんを迎えての試写会が実現しました。

日本国内では２年半の間で５００カ所で上映され、延べ５万人を動員した作品は、今、アメリカ、イギリス、オーストラリア、カナダ、ネパール、中国と、７ヶ国で上映！

The San Francisco Bay Area is once again blessed to offer a screening of this heart-warming documentary rapidly gaining an international following. This movie (filmed in Japanese now with English subtitles) has touched the hearts and lives of thousands of people.

Katsuko is a teacher of children with impairments in the Japanese prefecture of Ishikawa. Katsuko's insightful narration helps us understand the incredible wisdom that this forgotten segment of our school population has to teach us about our own lives! Be sure to see this screening and experience the awakening of your own heart as you discover the secrets of "The Miracle of the Gifted Quarter"!

For our San Francisco showing, the Producer/Director Fumiko Irie will introduce the movie and host a small party with Tea (separate fee) following the screening.
